The noise-cancelling headphones have been especially helpful in creating a calm, private space for students during counseling sessions, court-related meetings, or moments when they need to reset emotionally. Many students come to school feeling overwhelmed or distracted, and having the ability to block out noise allows them to focus, practice breathing exercises, or engage in mindfulness activities in a way that feels safe and supportive. This technology has become an important tool in helping students regulate their emotions and fully participate in the support services available to them.\r\n\r\nStudents have also been incredibly excited about the image printer and fidget tools, which have brought creativity and comfort into our counseling space. The printer allows students to create visual projects, reflect on goals, and express feelings in ways that go beyond words, which is especially powerful for students who struggle to open up. Several students have already warmed to these new tools, using fidgets to stay grounded during difficult conversations or using printed images as part of self-expression and memory-building activities. Our students-athletes strive to improve their skills and techniques, and this go pro camera can help us in a number of ways. We can record team and individuals drills and sessions to use for coachable moments in film time. Because of the various attachments go pro offers we can have students wearing the camera for point of view footage. This can help in sports like football and baseball where coach and players can track and see where eyes were during film session. \r\n\r\nWe are currently using it with our spring sports who are starting their conditioning periods. With track and fields students get to see their initial steps out the starting blocks, baseball/softball pitchers can see their pitch delivery, and throwers can see their throwing motions in a way that they can receive immediate feedback for correction. Our classes forged a international pen pal relationship of sorts with a school in Spain. Using a new ipad from Donor's Choose and a rolling ipad mount we were able to take our friends from Spain on a virtual tour of our high school and give them a taste of a day in the life of a Sunrise Mountain student in Las Vegas, NV. This was a way for students to take their knowledge of self recording and bring it to life for their foreign friends.
